SOLD!

...to the first bidder. We put our house on the market 11 days ago, had our first offer 4 days later, and we sold it today. And even had a second buyer to hurry the first one along counter offers to seal the deal tonight. As expected, we sold for less than we had hoped, but we can now close both homes within a few days of each other, and not have to worry about a contract falling through or multiple payments. We are lucky to have had a great agent who has been working really hard for us, for a very long time. In fact, after all the phone calls and emails over the past two years, she said she's going to miss us. We'd also like to thank all the good folks on HGTV who taught us how to stage our home for a sale, my parents for helping with decluttering and pre-moving (see an earlier post), and all those whom we hope will come out of the woodwork to help us pack up the rest of our stuff and actually move! (Ha-ha!)

I guess we really are moving.
