My sister, Hyeyoung, gave birth to a little girl, Naomi Olivia Thompson, this morning. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz and was 20.5 inches long. Hyeyoung says she has more hair than even Sophia did, which is a lot of hair. Sophia still holds the record for being the biggest baby at birth.
I told Emma she had a new cousin today, and she just kept babbling and smiling - I don't think she knew what I meant, but it was still cute to see her react to my excitement.
Sophia had already named her little sister Olivia several weeks ago, so the pressure was on H&G to stick to Olivia, or else come up with something that was acceptable to Sophia. They think Naomi fits the bill just fine, and Sophia was the first person to approve of the new name.
We're blessed to have another healthy baby in the family, and I'm glad my sister didn't have to endure hours and hours of difficult labor before resorting to C-section. This time, she took the express route because her doctor had it scheduled for 10:30 am. She went in with her hair and make-up done. Good for her!
