Emma had another weight check with the pediatrician on Friday afternoon. She weighed 4 lbs. 11.5 oz, which is a whopping 16% increase from her last weight check 8 days earlier. My mom was so proud when I told her, she did the victory dance!
This made me realize even when I think I'm not doing everything "right" for Emma, things do work out. I am still waiting to grow into motherhood as my girlfriends who are mothers tell me, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to know I have! In the meantime, I'm just going to keep "winging" it all, just like we did with the birth! This also made me realize she's not going to be fragile and tiny for very much longer, for which I am very glad, but also saddens me because I don't want her to grow up too fast.

Your little Emma is a GEM! Isn't she just perfect?! I marvel at the love a Mother has for her baby. It is love at first sight at its finest! Congratulations :) Can't wait to meet her.
