A good reason

My sister Hyeyoung started a blog (gregandhyeyoung.blogspot.com), and as with many other things she does, I decided it was a great idea. I've enjoyed reading about her observations and thoughts, especially on her two children, whom I adore, and since our families are spread all over the world from China to Costa Rica to various states, I thought this would be a good way to keep them in touch with our lives. And so I filed away on my mental to-do list: "Start blog page before the baby comes." I thought a new baby in our lives would be a good reason to have our own blog.

As with many things I have "planned" for in my life - others being living out on the East Coast once I started working, and getting married before 30, and having a fall wedding in Arizona - my best plan to have my baby 6 days prior to her due date in April didn't happen. Our baby daughter, Emma arrived more than 6 weeks early. The first 10 days of her life was full of small, but significant, milestones, that I wish I had taken the time to set this up BEFORE I actually delivered her, so we could have shared her progress with everyone earlier. Nonetheless, we feel so blessed to have her with us, and want the whole world to know how happy we are with our newest addition.

So on with the blog....
