First Day of Preschool

Today was Emma's first day at Teddie Bear Corner Preschool. She was a little apprehensive yesterday during the open house, but today, she was so excited to go. Although it was her fault for being five minutes late this morning, Emma was hustling me when we arrived, saying, "We're late! We're late! They're going to start without me!"


She was insistent on taking her backpack, so I packed an extra pair of shorts and underwear and her Bunny Bear in it. I wasn't sure what else to put in it. She also took a picture of our family for Show-n-Tell. When she walked in, she put her backpack in her cubby, and immediately made a beeline for a bucket of manipulatives in the shape of different fruit she played with yesterday. She was clearly fine without me.

The first thing she said when I picked her up at noon was, "I had a good day at school, Mommy!" I couldn't have been happier.
