Another kind of eruption....

Emma has chicken pox. And I gave it to her. And we are now quarantined at home for the third day in a row; four, if you don't count the doctor's office as an outing. So far, she's in good spirits, considering she's a teething 9-month-old with chicken pox. (Did we mention she has 4 new teeth coming in all at once, and has been slightly constipated as well?) It seems I had a bout of shingles a couple of weeks ago when my right arm hurt over Thanksgiving. It didn't occur to me that was shingles, even though I've had it before, because it was localized to my one arm. But when I noticed the four little red bumps Emma had on Monday propagated overnight to - well, too many to count - I had an epiphany: I had shingles and now my baby has chicken pox. Nurse practitioner confirmed it 90 minutes later. Nice.

Poor Baby and poor mama too. Is she better now? Better now than later I guess.
