Austin's Milestones - 1 Month

Austin had his one-month well check today. He has grown to 5 pounds 8 ounces, and is half an inch longer at 18.5 inches. As Dr. Peterson put it, "That's an ounce a day except on Sunday!" We were all pleased with this progress because the previous weight check was a bit of a disappointment with only a 3 ounce gain in 7 days. Previous weight check had been a gain of 5 ounces in 7 days. So, we went back to two bottle feeding per day, and that seems to help him put on weight a little faster. We're starting to see his cheeks get a little more plump - very exciting! What is NOT exciting is his middle of the night wakefulness. The little guy still has his day and night mixed up, and is keeping his mama up too much. Never have I wanted to sleep as much as I have these past 4 weeks....
