We made our inaugural visit over Labor Day weekend. We know it's the end of "summer" in many other places, but it was still well over 100 degrees in Phoenix, and we had to give the host family some time to prepare our guest room. After all, they only moved in a few weeks ago.
We had a lot of fun in a short time. We shopped, we grilled, we played, we ate, and we even got a beach day in, although it was too cold for my taste. I guess it's not always sunny in San Diego. Here's a glimpse of our beach day. We can't wait to go back for another visit.
