Only 4 more weeks to go!

...until Emma goes to nursery at church, that is. Emma is now 17 months old, and mere 4 weeks from going to nursery for the last two hours of church. Curtis and I (although it is mostly Curtis because Emma will have very little to do with Mommy whenever Daddy is around) have been spending a lot of time wandering the hall with Emma because she can't be still. But then again, church is three hours long. So, for about a month, we've been counting the number of Sundays left until she is 18 months old and can go to nursery, allowing Mommy and Daddy to enjoy church with the grown-ups again.

While we are looking forward to being able to sit through Sunday School, we are already wondering where our little baby went. She is definitely a toddler, who is becoming more clever by the day. She is still a petite princess, but there's a lot going on in her little head. She went from crawling to running in no time, operates most of our electronics manually AND by remote, knows that what comes out of the oven in the summer is something yummy (because her Mommy only turns on the oven in Arizona summer to make dessert), knows exactly which refrigerator (we have two) has ice cream and which has the popsicles, and verbalizes or signs a dozen words. (Her favorite is an emphatic "no" with shaking of her head from side to side). Recently, we had some pictures taken of her in her Korean dress that she wore originally on her 1st birthday. The dress is actually still quite big, so she will be able to wear it for another year or two. The photo shoot itself was an experience since she was running all over the place. We managed to get a few while she was stationary, or at least slowed down enough to be caught on the camera. Doesn't she look all grown up?
